4.6L and the heads (2V versus 4V) should not matter. It looks like this may work.

im not sure but i think that the gen 1's have to have a piggy back system and the gen 2's cant have that because of something in front of the pully. i dont know what it is.

what is it btw?
 
I wouldn't trust Jegs answer about a Mark VIII. Especially about a Mustang part working on a Mark VIII...
 
If you are going that route be very careful on removing and installing it, as your oil pump gears are right behind it and are known to be negatively effected by undue stresses (like impact guns or hamer blows create).

Yeah, I'll do what I can with hand tools.
 
good luck with hand tools, you'll never get the pulley off with hand tools. i have to use a puller and impact gun to even think about getting the pulley off. more power to you if you get it off without air tools though!
 
when the hell did I post that? Well anyway. Im going to be as careful as possible with the impact. And I have a 3 prong puller..
