will 03+ instrument gauge cluster fit 00?

I prefer the look of the new gauge cluster from the 03+ LS's and I am curious if they will work on the 2000. I figure that the electronics portion will not work, but I am wondering if I can just switch the plastic inserts out to freshen up the look a bit...(e.g. remove the plastic insert with tach and speed numbers and insert it into an older 2000 cluster)

What do you all think?

you're right about the electronics - IB since the 03+ went CAN the clluster cannot be swapped.

I do not know about the 03+ - but the pre-03s have the gauge marking paint on the housing plastic - so you cannot pull it off. Most OE clusters are made that way.
