Wifes thinking she could use a bigger car, so I found this..

Wow. Personally I think 2600 would be major low balling.. Cooling fan could be costly and O2 Sensor is easy fix.. personally i think 3.1k they have listed for is a decent price.. But Go and look at it.. And then make your offer based on how it looks.. runs and all.. Pictures say 1000 Words.. But seeing the car in person.. Can either tell you 3.. Amazing Condition, Decent, or Pure :q:q:q:q...

A good way to tell is if the front bumper has a lot of rock chips. Most of those chips happen at higher speeds. mine was a true highway vehicle and the front bumper was horrible but the rest of the paint good.

Or they tailgate often. I drive mostly hwy and don't have that problem, but I don't tailgate.

I've also heard that wear on the gas and brake pedal covers is a good indication, since your foot wouldn't be constantly on and off the pedals during highway driving as opposed to the constant stop and go of the city driving.

You want a larger car and are going for the LS???

I hope you aren't talking about roomy back seats.

Yea, it's not a huge difference. Slightly wider, about the same kicking distance for my daughter to kick the back my(the drivers) seat.

Before you go find out how mug it will be to buy and install a fan on it the o2 sensor is eash and then see if the price difference is the cost of repairing these 2.items

when my cousin bought his LS, they told him that it needed an o2 sensor. turns out it had been driven on bad coils too long and the cats where what needed to be replaced. not cheap.

I still get this and I don't tailgate. Its more to do with how much crap is on the road... sand from winter, etc. and if there is wind or big trucks/ other traffic to kick it up.

Yea, and he says mileage is mostly highway, that always raises a red flag for me(I also never believe it).

Depends. It's pretty hard to drive, say 30K miles a year and have it not be mostly highway. I can't imagine a cab driving that much in-town diving in a year. That would be ~84 miles per day or 7mph over 12 hours. That would show serious wear in the gas and brake pedals and probably the seat from excess ingress/egress.
