Just wanted to drop a line and explain the reason for the delay of the newly designed Spider Extreme V3. (We hope to have all the preorders in the mail by the end of this week) (1/16/09)

The preordered Spider Extreme V3's were actually built and ready to go the beginning of last week when it hit me.....because of the flow-through design(flowing through the dryer), its probably gonna be allot quieter than the original Spider & Spider Extreme. Although being quiet might be a draw to some people(older generation), it was one of the major draws for the majority. Anyway, after many hours BACK on the drawing board, I came up with the solution. The NEW Spider Extreme V3 was redesigned AGAIN to go both ways! In other words, with the NEW Spider Extreme V3, you have the choice to use it in the flow-through mode that protects the compressor by venting air through the dryer....then through the water seperator and then finally through the solenoid......
-OR-
.....by moving the selection lever to the bypass mode, the air bypasses the dryer completely and the air is vented only through the water seperator and solenoid and will make the loud venting sound just like the old Spider. With the new design, you could run the vehicle in the flow-through mode during the week and "uncap" the system for the weekend!

BTW, for those who order the Spider Extreme V3, you will be sent a FREE Spider Extreme V3 decal to put on your Mark VIII.

I was just going to send you an email inquiring when they were shipping...

Now for a quick question... you redesigned it because it didn't make ENOUGH noise? as in too quiet and you made it louder?

Hmmm.... neither really matter to me... quiet or loud....

If I had a rays switch.... then the sound would be more important :D

The car vents for like 3-5 seconds when it lowers for parking stance...

it was noticeable before debi put a rays switch in tux, but its definitely cooler when you drop it

Eddie has asked many times in the past to not post pictures of this device on the internet...I'm assuming out of concern of piracy or reverse engineering.

I've had a V1 spider valve for 6-7 years, and I have honored his request in not posting pictures of the design on the internet.

Trust me kid, the vent noise if fun. Especially when you park it and walk away and it did not vent right away. When you are about 20 feet away and an old lady is about 5 feet its fun :) lol

You should see the crowd gather at the dragstrip when the spider valve goes HIIIIISSSSSSSS stop.. HISSSSSSSSSS.

it also does it during and shortly after the burnout.. as I'm staging the car.
Pssssssst...
usually the "starter" will give me a sideways glance when this happens.

Were your beads clear when you poured them out?

Also did you find any pink or blue ones?

I meant pics of the decal!!!!

Notice that the quote in my post is talking about the decal. I'm just curious what the decals looks like.

The way you say that makes me picture some seemingly sophisticated crotchity old man! Some like seen below!

No Pink or Blue, but they were very opaque... they drier compressor had been sitting on my garage wall for 1.5 years or so... maybe they had dried up a little already...

"I already took apart my spare dryer and dehydrated the little beads...."

I forgot to mention, the new design comes with a specially modified dryer included in the kit.

I just got the email the other day saying the same thing.

I cant wait! :D
