Who is running DDM Tuning H11 bulbs?

no. I bought h11 hid bulbs but when I tried installing them, I noticed the bulb on the lse fogs said h8. Basically the same bulb, I just needed to cut off a little of the widest tab for it to fit in.

It should install just like a regular bulb if it's the same bulb type

on the harness you have 2 metal tab you slide into you H11 connector not much weatherproof...

I came up with an a easy fix for that when i installed the HIDs in my fogs.
Take a pair of halogen light bulbs and cut them right at the 90 degree angle mark. Then, slide the two connectors through and epoxy them in. When you are done, you have plug and play connectors that are waterproof.

Here is what i did with mine....

That's a good idea son!! Props

Thanks ;)

Very good idea, I think that will be the route I go.

Thanks!
If you don't want to deal with epoxy and waiting for it to dry, there is another route you can take.
First plug the plastic piece into the factory harness and the slide the pins through (this way you know they are positioned in) and put a small touch of silicone on the back side of the plug, so the water doesn't get through and you are set. That's what i did with the second set of HID bulbs, since i had to swtich them out.

The weird thing is on the install page for the H11/H9/H8 it shows one with the plug and one without and says some come with and others come without. I guess it just depends on the supplier? I am getting the slim kit that just got restocked on 3/1 so hopefully it is the most current version...

I would put a 6K bulb in the fogs to match an 6K low beam... Am I missing something? Are you asking HID vs LED?

Thanks for the link Herbie. Once I get them I will see what I am working with and either go the route 05 LS8 suggested with OEM bulbs or pick up a set of those connectors. At least hey are cheap, thats a good thing!

Are you asking bulb size? They make 6K for hi, low and fogs. If you want to match your
6K then buy 6k in the bulb size for your hi and fogs.

Although most people don't recommend them for the highs.

I have used Xetronic (approx $400.00) and Precision HID (I paid 179.99 but they are on Ebay for less). Honestly the Precision HID was a good value for the money. All I have ran is 4300K though. I would recommend buying from the same company that way you know the colors will match best.

I am pretty confident the DDM tuning will suit my needs for the MKX, 4500K from them.

For bulb size just pull the bulb out of the socket and take a look. It is different Gen I to Gen II.

My lows and fogs are H11 I am not sure about the highs, I never have to use them with HIDs...

Oh, sorry dude I don't know about that. What I do know is an HID will look different than a halogen no matter if they are the same color. Honestly just buy the same HID kit you bought for your lows for the fogs.

Didn't you say you bought a slim kit from DDM? $40.00 for a HID kit from DDM is pretty cheap. Heck a set of Nokya bulbs probably costs close to that doesnt it? Just match your fogs, you'll be happy you did.

I had the nokya's, I spent like 100 bucks on a pair of cosmics and artic for the fogs and some cosmic for the low's, they dont compare to HID's in color or output.

Get yourself a set of hids fastlls
