Which one is better?

The Insys comes with the entire tube and filter. The KKM has a better filter element, but does not include the intake tube.
 
K&N doesnt make a kit for the 1st gen (00-02) LS...yet. Someone I talked to on a T-bird forum had a thread about K&N finally developing one for the 1st gen with the entire intake tube and filter but its not for sale yet...IDK. K&N does make a kit for the 2nd gen (03-06) LS.

Search AMSI as a seller on ebay. They sell the one piece aluminum intake tube for $170 IIRC. Then get a MAF adapter and cone filter and you're done...oh...and buy a CAI heatshield from me.

Okay thanks Hite, I'll look it up! I wanted a K&N originally, same they havent made one for it yet!
 
Perhaps I'm not doing something right, but I cant find AMSI intake tube listed on ebay. I did find your heatshield though Hite! :)
 
I cant find the AMSI tube any more Hite, I read the forum on your sig. Is there anyway you can mod a heat shield to fit the INSYS system? I saw someone did it on the forum but I doubt my cutting skills enough not to try it myself.
 
I actually have developed a heatshield for that intake. I am waiting for feedback from a second person before I post them for sale. I had to develop these long distance by trial and error. I will let you know when they are finalized.

Thanks guys! I couldn't find that intake for the life of me haha. I'm still considering the INSYS though, its less than half the price (I do like the black better than the blue though). When you get that heat shield ready for sale please let me know Hite!

So what did you do to make it fit? Just cut a bigger hole in it? Id like to know because dozens of people want these for their gen2. It looks like it fits good. If I paid for shipping would you send it to me so I can use it for a pattern to make more? Of course I will send you a brand new one no charge. You would only be without it for a week. I will even refund your money you paid me for it.

So what did you do to make it fit?
TO BE HONEST WITH YOU I JST BOUGHT THE ADAPTER FROM KKM AND THAT'S ALL = I DON'T MAKE ANY CHANGES, NO BIGGER HOLE OR NOTHING>

MAYBE YOU MAKE THIS HEATSHIELD WRONG AND BY MISTAKE YOU SEND IT TO ME:eek:

I will even refund your money you paid me for it= MONEY SOUND GOOD HAHA
