Where to tie in an underhood light?

then it would always be on.. unless it is a kit with a button switch so when the hood opens it powers the light?

nope, lincoln thought it was too much money. did you get your light from a mark VIII? or some other kind of car, cause if its a factory mark VIII hood light, just run a ground and power to it, it has an internal mercury switch so when the hood is lowered to a certain point the switch shuts the light off, then it will turn back on once the hood is reopened to a certain point.

No I got a new in the box Suburban light that is not on when you open the hood. It has a release switch and a long wire that rolls up on a reel so you can extend it anywhere under the hood you want? It is on the Suburbans mounted on the inside of the passenger fender.
Jaime I bought the amp your father in law had listed last night. Please, please
