where is the low pressure port for our cars for recharging the a/c? I got a R-134 recharge kit, and I am looking to hook it up to the low pressure port. However, I can't seem to find it right now. I used the search and couldn't come up with anything other than where I thought it would go is the high side and wont fit on there. Please help, im going to go outside and look for a diagram of th a/c system under the hood but I figured ide post this first.

ok, i filled it up with r-134 to 36 psi, still blows hot air. stupid me thought that port was the "schrader valve" when working with fuel and have already opened up exposing my lines to air. Because someone said "yea its the black cap in the passenger side of the engine bay." sheesh. i released pressure to zero on the high side, the valve right by the radiator, filled it up to 36 psi again, still blows warm. Should i try filling it up while opening the valve from the high side to bleed the system?

I also read that the system requires 50 psi to get the a/c compressor to come on? i read that in the search in another post.

anyway i can get around this with out having to take it to a place to pay to hook it up to a machine.

no worries, for anyone doing this you have to read the psi while the compressor is running, 36 psi while compressor is running. i ran out because i thought maybe i overfilled it because i it was going into the red zone and nothing was working so i let it out, turns out the compressor has to be running

knowledge is power! btw im running ICE cold!

Thank you very much jamie!
