im just wondering what the best choice is for new air suspension stuff?? do any aftermarket companys make aftermarket bags, or does the dealer still make them for the mark??? just curious..

If you're lookin to buy some new ones, try americanairsuspension.com

Well, OEM is always the best way to go. But you're gonna pay for it. Probably about $500+ per front air spring/shock unit and I'm not sure about the rear springs. I can't afford that, so I got mine from Arnott. They were $186 each and I installed them myself in about an hour. A stealership will probably charge you at least 4 hours labor when it's a seriously easy pie job. Even if you have zero experience changing them out, I'd bet it wouldn't take you much more than a couple of hours at most. It's that easy. The only problem with the Arnott front air spring/shocks is that they only have a 12 month warranty. I bought a set about 6 years ago that only lasted 14 months. The set I have on my car now I bought in Jan. 2009 and they're still fine, knock on wood. But you just have to decide what's within your budget.

You can get new OEM from Max for around $340 each in the front. Thats the route I went since I dont wanna have to deal with it for another ten years.

As an alternative there is Arnott. They have improved and you will prolly get 3 or 4 years out of them now...... pretty sure the strut itself is not new though but I could be wrong.

I can't say for sure, but the new Arnotts I bought last year look significantly better as far as materials and build quality than the ones I got 6 years ago. The rubber looks stronger and doesn't feel as thin and flimsy as the older ones. And the bucket part of the shock looks thicker and stronger. And then there's that big machined aluminum cap on top. It may not be significant, but it looks pretty cool. As far as how long they will last, only time will tell.

A few days a go I saw online that helix suspension makes a kit for our cars, but I dont know if anyone here has used it.

$1,625.69:eek::Bang:slam

God that's a lotta money. And it would be nice if they would actually show a picture of the actual part. The pic they have there is of a McPherson strut. Notice that the lower shock portion has a spindle-mount and a bearing cap on top so it can turn with the steering, not a mount for the lower control arm and a solid top mount like the Mark VIII's air spring/shocks. I would really like to see how the actual part looks. And why the frak it costs that much money!! Is it plated with gold or something?

I got my fronts and rears from American Air and love them... I just need to buy a new compressor from them and I will be set. But I think they are the ones to go with.

I've got all 4 airbags and height sensors and a shot out compressor here in Inman SC if anybody wants them. The bags are good. No, I won't ship em. Free to anybody that wants to come get em.
