i intend to keep my mark forever although it just lost its spot in the garage to my new 06 GTO. this car is pure evil, but i also have a 96 probe gt for winter duties.

Just got mine

I just got my Mark this past friday but i've wanted one since i was 16. On my 16th b-day i got a 95 T-bird and then started researching them and found the Mark that had the DOHC engine and lots more luxury. I'm 21 now and blew the engine in my 300ZX and decided it was time to quit being a kid and grow up. I want to enter the management world so i gotta start looking the part. I think a '94 Mark black on black does the job nicely. I plan on keeping this car a long time. Sorry this is random but what is the top speed on the Mark? I had mine up a little over 110 today because my g/f had a wreck and i was really worried about her. I passed a state trooper in the triple digits luckily 4 me he already had someone otherwise i would have gotten a nice little ticket. But just to let u know some of the younger enthusiasts like myself have an appreciation for the car. I know i do. I plan on repairing mine when something goes wrong and drive it. I'm averaging about 18mpg is that normal?

My '96 LSC Tops out hard at 124.

I believe with your gearing, yours will do 130 before the ECU tells you to shove it.

131 according to my spedo, but a factory spedo up that high isn't correct speed.

I should take a look at your car sometime blk96, I'm in Dallas almost every week. Any car meets up that way? I would do more there if there was time to fill gaps in between things.

Mine is for sale- as are a few leftover parts. I'm just sick of fvcking with it. I've dumped enought money into these things as it is. I'm done with Ford due to all the crap I've seen quality and customer service-wise within the past few years. It's not just with the VIII, either; it's issues with a few other Ford models, as well. My next vehicle will be a GM. Period. Thank Ford Motor Company for that...

I'll be keeping my Mark VIII's for a long time.

Even though they run great and look OK, with 187 and 164 thousand miles on them, I'd be lucky to get a thousand bucks for either one of them.:)

My Mark is not going anywhere for a long time, still gets more looks than any of my friends' Bmw's or Mercedes! Eventually when I get the Escalade, The Mark will sit in the garage and only be driven on weekends
