So Im getting a set of 17" 03 cobra wheels with our bolt pattern. The only problem is that the guy only has the 3 because the other one has a crack. I went on thecustomwheelshop.com and I seen they sell them but they aren't a common stocked item. Is there anywhere else that I can get one of these wheels from? They are chrome, not machined or polished.

I found a post on the thunderbird forum that a guy named Brad sells these. Is Brad the guy from thecustomwheelshop.com?

Yep, Brad is the name of the guy that posts on here from that website. Bagged taco is his s/n here.

They must be from the Dante Design days if they are Chrome. The last 2 or 3 times we casted them we did Polished finish.

See if you can get the wheel repaired. Pretty amazing what they can do with even a seemingly destroyed wheel.

03 cobra rims should be aluminum. Even though they are shiney does not mean chrome. Chrome only applies to a steel base which is seldom used on vehicles since 1988. In this case keep the 4th rim and it can easily be repaired at any shop with a grinder and tig, mig, or even a stick welder with a alum stick.

Yeah they are chrome. Brad do you have any suggestions to who could do a good wheel repair job? And is it pricey?

thats the dumbest thing i ever heard, they can and do chrome plate aluminum its been done for years and you got balls if you owned a welding shop, and took it upon yourself to weld someones broken rim, if that guy leaves and gets killed in an accident because his rim comes apart you want to be held responsible for that? i work in a welding shop that opened its doors in 1952 and not one wheel has ever been repaired in all them years. 98% of the shops in the usa wont even think twice about welding someones broken wheel. if you go to someone who specializes in wheels and fixes wheels thats different, but good luck having a welding shop repair it, and the average joe doesnt have a mig or tig at home for welding aluminum.

take the wheel to a shop that advertises that they repair damaged wheels, dont take it to someone with a grinder and a welder thats asking to die or kill others.

Yea weldcraft is the place to get ahold of. They widen stock wheels, do major wheel repairs, etc.

I dont know them personally nor have I worked with them on anything but I have talked to them a few times.

Some of the stuff they fix I would find hard to put back on but they stand by their work. I would deff put it on the rear though. =)

Nice 1st post up there huh??

Yeah Im getting the damaged rim with the set. Ill see how bad the damage is and go from there. Id really like the get a new rim but that doesn't seem to be an option since they are hard to come by. Most likely if I were to get it repaired I would also have to get it rechromed.

They would almost have to be given to you for it to make sense with respect to $$$. I would urge you to at least consider another wheel. Regardless good luck.
