So it looks like I need to replace a front wheel hub on the Mark. My one question is how the heck does one pull that cap off of the hub? I tried the good old screw driver and hammer trick and got nothing. Is there a trick to it?

It is a regular metal cap coated with some rubber :q:q:q:q. Screwdriver.

Well I guess I will get a bigger hammer :bash: I guess I would not want to move if I sat somewhere for 17 yrs.

mine was a pain in the ass. Hammer and screw driver...

spray it alittle let it sit a bit then go at it with the hammer and screw driver.

I used a chisel on it and a 2.5 lbs hammer and it came off far enough to get the screw driver in there. Now the problem is what size is that nut?

Thanks everyone for the help I got it off the car and got the new one one and problem solved.

Everything I saw said it was a one time use only so I bought a new one when I got the socket to take the old one off.

That's because the threads are self locking and it being an item that holds the wheel on the car they don't want to see you in a ditch or on top of someone.
