I've been a lurker for quite some time now. I started out with an 04 LS V6 that ended up getting in a terrible accident. After that I figured, since I'm a glutton for pain, that I would go out and get another. I have an 05 LSE blk on blk, with everything stock except for a KMM air filter.

Since I've been with my LS I've had to replace 4 coils and a passenger hub. Not bad for 73k miles I guess. Honestly the only reason that I stayed with this car, aside from how well it looks is because the service at the Lincoln Dealership I go to is 2nd to none.

Anyway, I'm looking into replacing the front shocks because I think my passenger side is the culprit for a vicious noise that makes the car sound like I'm in a 4x4. I look forward to all continued help that I have received and hopefully I can help out as well.

Thanks for having me....:D

Since I need the front 2 shocks replaced, 3W4Z-18124-DA and 3W4Z-18125-BA, is RockAuto.com going to be the cheapest place to find these? Or do you you guys know any other places I can get these from?

I'm not sure if those are monroe shocks, but if they are I have them. Although the car is more stable on the highway than when I had worn out oem shocks, I do feel a lot of the bumps and holes on the street. I have read people say the LS feels real smooth, but I dont feel that in mine. I also, recently read someone saying monroe shocks are like having no shocks. I have about 2000 miles on them and I think I will buy oem shocks real soon because I am not satisfied with the monroe, according to how the ls should drive. Just throwing that out there for you.

LSK has oem shocks,

I paid 86 a piece for the monroe, oem are a little more from LSK

Those part numbers are for OEM replacements I believe the monroe part numbers start with TS or something. Both shocks from rockauto.com are priced under 100 bux, I just didn't know if there is somewhere else I should be looking.

Thanks.

Anyone know how good the Gabriel ultra shocks from autozone are?
