Whats good yall!
just bought a 2002 v6 black lincoln LS, 200km on it, beige interior (wish it was black!) quite a few minor repairs that need to be done but besides that seems to be a nice ride so far.
I'm coming from a 98 black nissan maxima, that thing was falling apart, still didnt sell it yet.
I've done a TON of reading on this site before buying the car, it helped me tremendously in choosing the car, so thanks for that. Anyhow here are the few current problems:
1- Cylinder 1 misfire: car shakes a bit, pulled 5 codes relating to this from ecu, will replace all coils to motorsports and change the spark plugs while at it, or i mean, I will buy the parts and go to the garage lol, not mechanically inclined.
Question: Should anything else be done while at it? I've read the other thread about the horror story while replacing the valve cover gaskets... lol damn
2- rear passenger window does not stay up: unable to control the window and it falls down about 4 inches from the top. I've done a ghetto fix in meantime to keep window closed but need to fix it asap since it started snowing already.
Question: Will this need a new window regulator? or could it be something else maybe? the motor can still be heard when trying to pull window down
3- No power to driver seat / Airbag code 32: This one so far from what im reading could be clockspring or connector at the back of the seat.
Question: Anything else that could be causing this? the vol buttons on the wheel are not working as well, also, the back right support of the seat is broken, it is slightly tilting backwards on the right side (not sure how to explain), in case that could have anything to do with it...
I will only be able to do a visual inspection this weekend on my day off, and since the seat is retracted all the way back its hard to get to the connector...
4- Cigarette lighter door is jammed closed lol, any ideas? does it normally slide out from the top or does it push open? i need to plug my phones!
so these are the main problems, few other lil issues but thats about it.
already have a lot of mods in my head
but ill do the right thing this time and fix the issues before modding it!
5- quick questions, whats a good winter tune up for the ls?
