Not saying its going to happen, but I am bouncing ideas around in my head and thinking about selling the Mark.

I need to thin the herd, and I don't have a huge sentimental attachment to the car, put I have but a lot of hard work and good parts in the car over the years....

So, tell me what you think its worth:

-1993 Midnight Opal Mark Viii

Somehwere around 163k on it
W3Z2 ecu
'96 LSC headlights w/ dual 4500k HID's
Nice grille
MSD plug wires
New back tires
New (used) black dash/airbags
Replaced all rear subframe to body bushings/brackets
4.10 gear and trac lok
New Ford drivers door handle
Completely rebuilt front suspension with new control arms and all bushings replaced
Good brakes
Aftermarket trans cooler
Custom cold air boxed intake
Converted to coil spring suspension
Console lid in great shape with working latch
Interior in fair shape, seats show age a little, overall nice
New pioneer speakers and head unit
Rear Irs brace from Bob

The bad:

Transmission started to shift really lazy-like. Parked it immediately after this condition started. Have not looked into it at all.

Clearcoat is in baaaddd shape.

Car has some dents and dings

Car has a rebuilt title. I hit a deer and totalled it a few years ago. I completely rebuilt the car, no corners cut whatsoever. Those that are friends with me on Facebook can see all the pics of it, and my project thread on here.

Wheels are ugly!

The drivers side rocker is just starting to go in the back

Car would come with:

Stock mint condition 100% perfect halogen housings
Lots of misc. Interior/exterior parts
Spare interior airbags
All extra air suspension parts if you wanted to revert back
Extra driver/passenger fender
Possible an extra hood too
2 rear bumper covers w/ exhaust cut outs

Plus, I have cam covers and coil covers for COP swap, and the coils.
Brand new 03-04 Cobra manifolds
Brand new 3" in/4" tips made on to them
Stamped steel X-pipe

I'm sure I am forgetting lotsa stuff!!

Not sure if I would even sell it, but curious if it would even be worth the trouble.

Just thinking out loud.

Midnight Opal is like a greyish blue. People call it charcoal when they see it. Or just gray. And the interior is black.

I don't think I've ever seen any daytime clear pictures of your car besides your signature pic..and you would have to sell the car with all the stuff to a member on here or an enthusiast otherwise all of those parts and modifications are useless to the average joe

The salvage title is what kills it. I'd find a cheap trans (looks like there are several on CL), put it in and drive it until the wheels fall off....

DITTO....

ONLY YOU KNOW THE REAL VALUE OF THE CAR DUDE!!! Don't sell it.

Here on LVC, your car is worth $900.00 because ppl here would want to part it out. On the street? Maybe $1,800. What I think it's really worth? About $2,900 but as soon as you show someone a salvage title they will turn the other way. Don't sell the car. Just enjoy it. If my '93 had a salvage title I wouldn't even bother selling it. I'd drive it until that 2 toned interior looks like the original interior did.... Ripped to shreds!

I'm a bit puzzled. In Canada a retitling of a vehicle including a rebuilt from salvage or any other reason has the weight of a regular title. I would not hesitate to buy a salvage titled car in Canada all other things being equal.

I suppose it's a little different here. Most people assume when they see "salvage" on the title that the car has been in some type of serious wreck or flood damaged or something like that. We are scared of cars with salvage titles because we assume it means that something seriously bad has happened to the car that may possibly cause problems in the future. And of course, that may not be the case. It could be that the car hit a deer and busted the headlights, grill and hood and due to the age of the car the insurance adjuster totalled it because the parts would cost more than the value of the car. Those parts could have been replaced and no structural damage done to the car, but when someone sees "salvage title" it is an immediate turn off.

That's exactly what happened to Jesse's Mark, but it also crushed the core support. Jesse did all the work, and "I" wouldn't have problems knowing his skills that it was repaired correctly. That said, Generic Joe only knows the title says salvage.

They're also very popular in the local drag racing classes down here... which is why I keep them.... plus, I've been a mustang fan since before I could walk or talk

Jesse, you are as bad as me when it comes to owning multiple cars.... And you talked me into keeping my mark so you have to keep yours too!
