What would you do with $1000-$1500?

I work in transportation, I am fortunate in that I can pretty much easily find a job anywhere fixing trucks...

I won't say it's your best option, but I'll just put in my two cents on the hub/brake/wheel/tire swap. Cobra brakes along with braided SS lines made a HUGE difference in my car. No more shuddering from warped undersized rotors, and actually stops like the performance car it is rather than a boat from 1973.

This is what I would do. LOL Sorry about being 69 over. He said 69 heheheehee. My name is cornholeyo. I need some TP for my bung hole.

1) 4.10's and posi -- used payed $15 to take them , used free
2)9.5 inch PI 3200 converter-- used 220 then Circle D upgrade 380 total $600
3) Diablo chip-- used $195
4) C&L MAF with 9 inch K&N filter --used $68 new $32
5) March Ram Air setup-- used $50
6) BBK 1 5/8 long tube headers-- used $147 total
7) full 2.5 mandrel exhaust with 2 in 2 out internal X muff-new $237 used $60
8) Nitto 555R drag radials-- used $195
Total comes out to $1569 and most of that was converter.

I thought the consensus was that these cars needed cats for a little bit of backpressure? I am all for no cats, but thought that I would lose some bottom end if I decided not to run any... I am in FL so no emissions here either, what are you thoughts on with/without cats? Also, would an exhaust shop be able to mate pipes up to the cobra manifolds? I know they both arent ball flanges...

You use cobra down pipes.
A good shop can fab something up.

A 3800 stall would be nice, I wouldn't do it without a trans upgrade.
I am a circle d man myself.

What do you want out of your car?
Street/strip?
Fun street car?

Answer that question and it will give you direction.

If it was me I would hit the local c-list for a t-56.

Street/strip

I want to keep my auto for now, no manual mark in my future... Could you in theory use the front half of a cobra exhaust if you were running cobra manifolds? Not the cat back...

Yes you could.. with a few tweeks. Summit sells an off road H and X pipe set up for the factory set up. Most are made for manual cars but with a little work they will fit.
I have a set of 03 manifolds and a brand new 03 egr tube that I was going to use on mine with my cobra intake.
I bought a set of kooks so the 03 manifolds will need to go bye bye.

Have to love getting everything ready then changing directions.
I have 99 and 03 manifolds that will need to go bye bye.

You have the off road pipe also right?

Maybe sell all together.

I have to hang onto mine until I get a shipment of new toys.

Can't wait.....

I gave my 99 manifolds to my dad should he ever need to change his. I do have a nib off road set from summit for the manifolds.
