Hey.. I'm new here but I have been reading threads for months! Let me say this site was the best one out there! Well I'm looking at getting the accel coils for my 2000 Lincoln ls V8.. I can build the new coil covers out of Carbon Fiber.. I know that they are taller but do they have different connectors? Thanks in advance! GO LVC!

I dont know about the accell coils, but they should fit just fine because I havnt heard otherwise on here. Im getting whatever NAPA carries, something like Eckhoff or something.

Coils be coils Im guessing. NAPAs got either a 1 or 2 year warranty on the bastard, and their only like $62 retail...

IDK Go with what you think is best.

No better performance or reliability has been found by using them. Search and you'll see what I mean. Besides, the stock ignition is perfectly fine for what most people do to their LS.

and what if someone needed something more than the stock ignition?
any popular options for that?

Haha. I've had a few Camaros in my day (still have one). I could have gone the rest of my life without hearing the word opti - I don't even wanna think about it..makes me sick to my stomach - what a mess that is.

yeah, friends caprice has the original from 95, that god its not a winter car or that PoS would be rusted out faster than an explorer at the bottom of the ocean...

I failed at the analogy BTW so sorry. Its a really retarded ignition system for a car... because if the motor doesnt work, how can you tell if the ignition works?

I prefer a Carb with an old Cap and Rotor :) Why I like working on my cousins old GTO's!

what do you mean - "needed something more than the stock ignition" ?

I'm gonna have to research the turbo setups here, how they work, what to do, the gains, and things to watch out for, found a perfect spot in the engine compartment to put a turbo....especially since there's not much room for a supercharger...

Thanks for the replies.. The only reason that I would be getting the accel coils would be cause I can get them about the same price as the ones on ebay.. Are they just as good as the stockers or worse?

You are a complete tool bag.

meaning - they are no designed to fit, do not fit without pulling the covers off and rigging an alternate mounting solutions, and seem to not last even as long as the OE....

wow - that could not be more completely off.

sorry my buddy was on my computer while I was taking the dogs out to sh*t. He's mr. Toota and all about the turbos..I want my a supercharger!!!! especially the kit from LLSC :-D

And thats why you ask the people that have had the car longer.. Thanks guys.. I would have spent 30 bucks more plus all the carbon fiber I would have used.. So.. Who would you recommend me get the coils off of ebay? Global-automotive, per4mance_part$, or alainsdeals? Once again, thanks for your help and advise..
