What are you doing to your car by spring?

New crank sensor, [so it will run again] good excuse to drive dads truck this winter instead of the mark. And then this monstrosity will be dealt with accordingly. http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=55917&highlight=beast+cutlass List includes new floorpans front and rear. Rear quarter work, paint, a set of meats that don't look like they came off a truck [but still big in the rear]. then four black cragars. And a pair of flows to quiet her up a hair [straight 2.5 is loud] 3500- 4000 stall converter transgo shift kit and 393's. Oh yaeh and new carpet.

Magnaflow 2.5 dual in dual out, get some new seat skins for the front seats, fix my tail light ballast, get a nice stereo, replace the carpet. Fix the vent door, Install the tokico shocks I bought from laser. Exhaust will go in the next few days or a week just depends on my work schedule I have all the pieces already.

Without headers 2.5 is overkill and maybe weaker on the numbers. If you're going for the sound of it go from the last y before the mufflers 2.5 out [even if you're running true duals start with 2.5 at that point][with or without x or crossover]. And if you're running the stock configuration I think the center pipe is already that big until the y then 2inch out to the mufflers. Just my opinon though.

Rich are you going to drop the motor?

I would highly suggest it...

I have heard it's much easier that way. Haven't really thought about it. But seeing as I don't have a garage to work in or any real means beyond a couple floor jacks to lift the car I might be stuck pulling the heads with the motor in the car. Have to get a couple more parts together and wait for it to warm up a little before I get started.

hey rich, i highly suggest you don't do it that way and pull it out or drop it down, i did what you are thinking of doing..... pita beyond all means, it is a pain in the ass just getting the head bolts off, then to try and squeeeze your hand in there to get at the exhaust manifold, thank god my car is not needed to be driven

my plans just changed drastically, was expecting like 3500 back from taxes like last year, nope instaed i am getting only 1500, so just my heads will get done, and tranny dropped

5th Not change the blend door cause it sounds hard and I dont care what she thinks :)

6th Finally get around to instaling my Ray's Switch..

That sounds like an ambitious weekend but one that I might take you up on. Just gotta finish my a couple more rooms in my house before I can touch the car without someone getting upset... :(

[[Bill, might wanna go out in an empty parking lot and get 'er sideways some before you go buy that front bar. I think it's gonna understeer bad if you put that in. Don't know about you but I like haulin ass! on curvy roads, and I, personally, wouldn't want a stiffer front bar.]]

By spring:
I'm just hoping I get the 6 speed in and my new wheels on before snow is gone! I'm getting scared about it too.. since I don't have either yet!

There is too much lean in the nose with the stock one. I was going to just get the 1.25" like I have in the rear but was told the 1 3/8 would be better. I will prolly still get the 1.25" then. The stock just does not have enough controll.

Im hoping to do a cheap upgrade to the front brakes since the stock rotors are finally done for at 105,000 miles!!!! lol

1. EBC front rotors
2. EBC Green stuff pads
3. Msd plug wires
4. Fresh plugs
5. Fresh coil packs
6. Fix my radio mess
7. Get 20% tint on my windows and 50% on the windshield
8. Finish the swap from tan to black interior (i just need to install the carpet, buy black cruse control buttons and door handles.)

Looks like I will be getting the MMX driveshaft for a steal at $200 so I can check that off of the list. I will do some before testing for a baseline, T&T starts up at Cecil the beginning of March.

I want to put a serious sound system in the LS, something north of 3000 watts, and get a tune for the Aviator.

Drive shaft and fuel pump being sent out Monday. Now I need the gears and converter to finish the deal.

New radiator, water pump, cooling system flush, new rack and pinion and p/s pump, jmod, trans cooler, put the air ride back under the car, refurb rear tail light
