What amp for voice

lanzar opti 500x2

or

Kole 1920W 2Channel Amp

to push 4 10 ev's 300 watt

:shifty:

:D

Seeing that I haven't heard of most of the equipment, I would say pawn it and go buy some real stuff. You don't need a bunch of speakers for it to be loud. I have one 15" sub that beat harder than 90% of the last SPL contest. I hit a legal 148.9 from the dash. Good Luck!!

Thats some loud sh!t Slick.

I hit 147 with my Beretta. PPI 4400 2x200 pushing 2 JLAudio 12W6's in a sealed box. The LS hit 128 with the two Memphis 10's and the Memphis amp(2x100). I am very curious to see what the LS will hit now. I installed the PPi 4400 and two new upgraded Memphis 10's.

I actually hit a 149.2 but I went over the 2500 rpm limit they put in legal DB contests so they could only take my other rating. Not bad though. One memphis M-1 15" woofer off a directed 1200D. I am about to go the other route and go full sound quality. I go a rockford fosgate punch 800.4 for my highs. Should sound real crisp. Plenty of power.

lanzar is a crappy brand overall...however the opti series are awesome.

That a good amp for the highs. I just picked up a PPI chrome series 4800(4x100 or 2x400). I plan to use that for my highs. Love a nice cleam sounding system. Anyone can be loud. A real system is loud and clean.

PPI is a great amp for highs. It should sound awesome. Yea I am done with pure SPL and that's why I am working on pure sound quality.

kole audioo sucks....might as well get pyle...or pyramid lmao....and people that use ev's in cars are idiots...just sounds real loud with no real quality whatsoever...equivelant to having 4 pa speakers in ur car. most are obviously meant for long throw of the sound. being that its going to be in an enclosed space (interior of the car) it will sound worse then an already bad cabin design with regular crap car speakers. better off getting some decent amps and drivers since you already are going to be underpowering those ev's with distortion happy kole amps...

oh yea...focus on the front stage of the car rather then the rear deck...as you want sound to come from the front and not cancel it out with the rear soundstage.; its like going to a concert standing in the front row and facing the back....doesnt make sense does it?

You know, I wish I would've bought the directed 1200d. I was between that and the one I have now (Kenwood 9104d). I should've stayed with the same brand (My sub is a Directed sx12d4).

ummm, why are you asking what amp for voices, and listing 10" subs as the drivers, this thread is fail from the get, vocal range is nowhere near the range that subs reproduce

hindsight is 20/20 my friend, not to mention that the power output on that directed is far more powerful than that kenny (even though the boxes say that they are similar)

rolf, true but still so very funny, dont fukc around with cheap amps, get your self a good one because great amps will make sh!tty subs sound good (for as long as the coils hold up)

Terrible part is, I even paid RETAIL for the amp.

Actually, what do you think of the d2400? I just ran into one for 150 shipped. Should I take it?

i have the orion d2400, pretty much an orion branded directed. specs shud b about the same right 1200 rms at 1 ohm? i rant it at half an ohm 4 more then a year and it never overheated blew a fuse or anything. i love it...

jealous....from all the ricer stuff u wanna do to ur car, why dont u just get a civic n make life easier for urself....then you can put all the evs you want on the door panels and roof and steering wheel and rear deck for like a total of 400 ev drivers...

I love my directed 1200D. Never heats up or cuts out. Have blown three 15" subs, but never a problem with the amp. I can't wait to go through and replace all my highs. I have alpine 3-ways in the doors now, but will be upgrading them soon along with the console speakers.

ive have the 4 10 ev setup in another car, the amp is a crossfire 720 watt amp, thats a beautitful amp, i may just go with crossfire again

What do you think, slick? Yes, get the 2400d?

yea I would get it if I were you. Last amp you should need to buy.

LJ...crossfire??? really?? Please invest in some nicer audio equipment.

crossfire is a good amp for high and mids, its not for subs, i never had any problems with it, except for a 3 hour road trip it shut off from over heating, lol but it gives out alot of power for mids and highs

Exactly...good amps DON'T overheat. Not all amps really put out the true watts they claim and I bet crossfire falls in that category. Did that amp come with a birth certificate with all its power ratings at what volts? I am guessing no. All my amps have birth certificates. My punch 800.4 put out over 1000 watts even though the are only rated at 200x4. Just get some good equipment and stop wasting your money on walmart/autozone crap.

walmart/autozone hahaha crossfire is a very good amp and it overheated after a 3 hour drive with my music smacking, i had it professionally installed so i didnt get all the paperwork, but it was rated at 700 watts but really put out closer to 1000
