What a piece of junk.

BTW, the radio issue sounds like you need a new one; or live with the light issue. If it is the one with the cassette they are pretty reasonable on ebay. Or you can ask your dealer where they send the radios for repair and contact them yourself. I did that and got an exchange for, IIRC, less than $200.

If it's the cassette one, I have one just sitting around if interested.. Just PM me..

It's the 6 disc in dash changer. I am going to replace it with a pioneer avic 6.5 inch touchscreen. I have to find the plastic piece for a double din though. Thanks for the offer. It's not so bad cause I can use the controls on the wheel.

Rock Auto called and said that my order is delayed 1 day. Bummer. Any suggestions on cleaning out the coils. I'm not buying any till I try it with new plugs and the new gasket. Since my misfire was irregular when idling im thinking the coils may be good still, the plugs were just drowned in oil..BTW U think it hurt for oil to run in the spark plug hole after I removed them?

To clean them I would first of all take the boots off and soak them in dish soap and scrub them down really good. Then take some of the canned electronic cleaner and spray the coils down real good. However, you may be wasting your time as these coils are known to fail, the oil just accelerates the process. If you keep running on bad coils it'll ruin your cats and o2's. Oil on the porcelain part of the plug isn't really going to hurt any thing it's when it gets onto the electrode that you're going to run into problems. If it gets into the combustion chamber the car will just burn it off.

Sounds like me when i bought my Ls i thought wtf did i get myself into ! lol Don't worry these guys on the forums will help you in anyway possible just gotta put in some TLC and the car will reward you.

Well. RockAuto called. No VCG till Friday. So going on 2 weeks disassembled. Thinkin I may paint my valve covers while they are off. I'm also gonna put the coil boots through the dishwasher with the heat low. Then attempt to clean up the coil. Once I have the gasket and the plugs done, I will replace the coils one by one as they fail, or as I get some cash together.

Does anyone know of somewhere to get the gasket kit at the same price as Rockauto. Which is like $42.00. Ill cancel My order there if I can find a matching price in stock and ready to go.

BTW is there any other car that uses the same coils as the 01 Ls. Cause I work in a salvage yard so I come across parts.

This place seems like a wealth of knowledge. But I have to admit that I am a little disappointed with my LS. It has nowhere near the power I was expecting. I own a 92 Cherokee that could probly keep up with it. It's wayyy to quiet and only lets you rev to like 2grand.

All that aside. She is one baaaaaaad lookin B!tch. And her 17inch rims make me smile. And she is oh so comfortable to slide into.

Yea I can mail you one out. I ordered a few off rockauto, but I cannot find them on there anymore - and cannot find what I purchased them for.

Found it. $40.79 + shipping.

I will sell it to you for that. Do you have paypal?

1337 post btw

Well bro. I do appreciate the offer, however I was thinking more like from a reputable online store/site. Not sayin your not a good dude and all, but I'm not gonna send money to someone I dont know. That is unless you have an actual business or site.

Mind tellin me where you found it?

I have them in my possession. I bought some off rockauto a while ago, I did not know they came with both sides, so I ordered two and it turns out I did not even need one, it was more precautionary when I did my coils and plugs.

I understand being weary, you are a new member to the site. However, I think some people here would vouch for me. I have no use for the kits. I can get you one in the mail tomorrow, shipped USPS.

Andrizzle's a good dude. Trust me he's not going to burn you. If you're that worried about it link a credit card to your paypal account that way if someone burns you and paypal won't collect you just tell the credit company to cancel the charge.

Plenty of Paypal transactions take place here. In time, you will be selling spare parts here.
It's how we roll!

Well I'm waiting on the gasket kit to get here that Andrizzle sent, and I decided to examin/clean my coils. When I pulled the boot off of one the coil came out with it. Can I put it back, or do I need a new one?

after someone answers that questions, can someone also say if all the spring coils should be the same length? 2 of the 4 on one side seems to be a few cm's shorter, i think they expand when the electricity runs through them, but just wondering thanks
