Watching your car being drivin'...

Today I took my Mark to the Mideike to get the obd test to pass emissions (Had no idea they did certain emission's testing that way in illinois, wierd). Nobody drives my mark but me, EVER. The only time someone else drives it is when it's getting some work done. Every time I watch it being pulled in/out it just looks so f'n good in motion and I fall in love all over again. Am I the only one this happens too?
 
I am guessing that when you pass by large street level windows where you can see yourself, you pay more attention to your reflection than the car in front of you! Well, at least I do :) lol

Yes, that is totally me. I almost rear ended someone when I was living in Providence because I was doing that. I passed by that building every single day, lol.
 
Completely normal reaction when you love your ride...and let's face it, there isn't much on the road that looks as good or drives as nice as a pristine Mark...
 
+1 owning two white lsc's watching my wife drive hers, or vice versa is always a pleasure!
 
same here but i mean mug and grin my teeth like i have a grill when i pass by.



nah but seriously i got rims and damn i let my uncle drive it, i love watching it rare back when you put the pedal down
 
I think it's funny, I've been asked by people at stop lights why I was looking so hard at their car..my answer.."just looking at my cars reflection in your paint" lol

I am normally the only person to drive the VIII. Dad does every now and then.

But anyway,

My wife's car broke down a month or so ago, she left it at the store and got a ride to work from a friend. My buddy Cody went with me to fix/pick it up, and he drive the Lincoln back to my home. The whole way home I had the window down listening to the exhaust and looking at it rolling down the streets. Going through a 4 lane tunnel on the way home was a real grin maker.

On a similar note, I once let my friend drive my TBird SC while I drove his Mustang. Three honk 60 roll, I drop it down into second, powershift third, and get walked by my own car to the tune of about a buslength by 90. Later I find out he didn't even downshift my SC out of fifth and was doing 105 while his car only managed 90.

Ahhhh.... Good times.

nice! reminds me, i need to fix our 89 cougar xr7. those motors are sweet.

let my brother borrow my car cuz dad stuffed his SHO into a blazer once.
and when he got back i was like man thats a good looking car, just like mine! oh wait.. :)
 
Sometimes, when I'm driving down a freeway, I notice a tanker truck, usually a gasoline tanker, and I try to pull in behind it. The tanker trailer end is like a circumfrence mirror, and I see the reflection of my car right in the middle. I love the view of my grill in that reflection.
 
I used to have my mother drive my car around the block so I could hear the exhaust- she got a real kick out of it!
 
My car with the exception of it no longer being on air, my mark is stock and every time I drive it I can feel the potential. I like the fact that people stare at my car and that it looks good, even when it's dirty people still think it's cool. This is the first car in our 15 years of marriage that my wife actually likes! I'm keeping this baby for a while.
