Wash and some pics

So, I would buy a bottle of Optimum Car Wax. It's a spray formula. Otherwise it's Wizard's Breatheable Paint Sealant. But I bet Optimum would look nicer, and easier to use.

Also make sure to ask the body shop performing the work. That way, it's their responsibility if they give you wrong info.

This is probably the cheapest place to order the Optimum Car Wax:

www.obsessivedetail.com

Justin (the owner) ships USPS Priority, so it's more cost effective. He's also located in IL, so it only takes a 2 days to get to you.

But if you want to order a wider variety of products like the meg's super degreaser and chemical guy's bare bones, try www.detailedimage.com

Awesome info right there, you da man!

I think I am going to order a gallon of that "Optimum Spray Wax" and use that for the amount of time the paint shop recommends. Also should I order a gallon of the "Optimum Car Wash" as well since I assume my Meguiar's GoldClass Shampoo is not in this category of water-based?

Thanks for the help again. I can't wait to start cleaning this sucker.

So far the cheapest place I've found for Meguiars is http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/ I've order from them quite a few times. I love the detailer line. Also, Andrizzle if a degreaser doesn't work on the wheel wells try mineral spirits. Do a test spot first though. I guess if all else fails you could paint them black. Pete have you tried Turtle Wax tire shine for the wheel wells? I use it on the wheel wells of my truck and love it. I get the spray and not the foam.

jolinc, i haven't used turtle wax tire shine before. Problem is, i have a bunch of stuff to go through before i buy anything else lol.

andy, the optimum car wash is awesome. But honestly you should be fine safety wise with the gold class. The optimum car wash is my hands down favorite car wash I've tried. In fact, i just tried it for the first time about a week ago. Gentle enough to not strip off wax. Lots of lubricity. As for the spray wax, the gallon would be my choice, but i doubt you'd even in through a small bottle by the time you can use other products on it. But the spray wax is awesome, and so easy to use, you will use it all up without growing tired of it.

i totally wasn't paying attention, i almost asked why you had STS/SLS wheels on the LS.lol
