W3z3 ecu??

Will my w3z3 ecu run my 98 gen 2? Just curious because I have one laying around with a sct chip. Ecu came out of a 95

Umm... no. The 95/W3Z3 is OBD-I, EEC-IV. The '98 would be OBD-II, rendering it incompatible.

Ya I thought about the obd1 and obd2 thing just a while ago. My 98 just does weird stuff when I'm cruising it totally looses power then regains power like nothing happened. I suspect a coil

I had a 93 that did that-new crank sensor, fixed. Double check the connector and harness wiring while you are down there.

93 had the W3Z3 & W3Z2 and the 95 had the DZA1. 94 had the Z4HO Just getting the years and catch codes correct.

I was pretty sure the W3Z3 was a '93 ECU code, I was referring to the OP, though...
