VCRM (Fan control module)

its called VLCM Variable Load Control Module. it VARIABLY CONTROLS fan speed elec LOAD to spin fan at Variable speeds to cool down to 190 deg, not just hi and low although hi when a/c is on. from it your temp gauge runs off it and if its bad or going it can wrek havock on cooling systems. i went through 2 motors before i nailed down the issuemy temp gauge would only read middle, i will be putting a real temp gauge in this next build. there are a few people here who have some.
edit::: if you click on the"will this fit my car "option it clearly says no.

Hi. Your Mark VIII does not have a CCRM. If you have a another question related to a problem you are having, please ask. Thanks, Eric
Customer : What is controlling a/c and fans and location

atleast it makes it
apparently the 96 is the only year thats different.
and its not even called that its a ccrm

The EEC system has two major divisions: hardware and software. The hardware includes the PCM, Constant Control Relay Module (CCRM) or Variable Load Control Module (VLCM), sensors, switches, actuators, solenoids, and interconnecting terminals. The software in the PCM provides the strategy control for outputs (engine hardware) based on the values of the inputs to the PCM.
its a common mistake since its been misrepresented for so long. but the correct terminology is......VLCM.
a simple google search will bring you to other forums, ask a lincoln mechanic,i even called a dealer, although part is discontinued still calls it VLCM.
even this ebay post is a 93...
