first off... I DID A SEARCH. i didnt find the info i was looking for. ive been trying to find aftermarket valve covers to improve the look of my engine and havent found much. any help on where to look would be greatly appreciated

If you paint your black covers silver, they are exactly like the cobra valve covers.

I dont know of many "IF ANY" aftermarket 4V valve covers

Yeah no doubt if it's a gen 2 it took me an a couple buddies like 8 hours to get the stupid drivers side off... then another 12 to get it back on... if you can pull the engine out it'll be a lot easier on your hands and mind... talk about stress!!... makes you wanna smash everything!!.. then pick things up and smash em again!.. the passenger side is really easy like 20 minutes!

just powdercoat yours i did mine chrome and did 2 other sets for forums members. i did these myself with a hotcoat gun from eastwood and a regular house oven. the chrome covers and intake were on my own 98.

i never would have guessed they were so hard to take off and put on. i may try to round up a pair of stock ones and have them painted then just swap them out. thanks for the info guys

might sound like a pain.. but what about loosening the cradle bolts to help drop the engine down? might be able to clear better? anyone ever tried this .. the mounts are rubber so they will sag a bit. i use the technique at work a lot and it works good most of the time.
