Plan on changing these today and changing plugs. I know they are either bad or about to be bad. With 126k I'm sure they never been done so wish me luck lol. Shouldn't be too hard of a project.

Gen 2 and **** this **** glad it's done am over with. Oh and after getting it done, now I have no power brakes. Hit the pedal and hear massive vacuum leak yes all vacuum hose hooked up. There is a slight pedal depression and you hear vacuum leak then gets hard then have to be full weight to stop. Drove 65 miles like that down the mountain from a buddies place. So I have to hack into it tomorrow to see wtf? I did pull the master off to get better access to the driver side cover to get more room. So I wonder if things didn't align properly.

^ that is were your problem is, check seal.

There is a square cut O-ring that goes between the master and the Booster.

they have a nasty habit of getting damaged if not specifically looking out for it when re-assembling.

20 bucks says that's it. that or the booster feed line from the intake.

Yeah I gotta hack into it thanks guys I knew something couldn't have just blown out like that.

Well it turned out the booster rod wasn't put into the master cylinder. That I didn't not put back together my buddy did that one. And I knew something wasn't right. And I may have still hurt it because I can rapidly depress the pedal and it gets hard, but wait a few seconds and it has enough vacuum supply

Oh yeah blame your buddy we all know it was you. LOL

Glad you figured it out. I'm about to do my pass. side valve cover gasket. Did you have to jack up the engine to get that one out?

I have to do my driver's side & I'm dreading it. People have almost gotten killed over the driver's side cover on this forum!

Yeah that's a pain but I believe the passenger is harder the way we did it we just lifter the cover off pulle the seals wrapped the gasket around underneath and fed it in the grooves much easier longer but your not fighting the cover off.
