That's the ultra short version. For more in depth explanation, visit www.autogeek.net. This is such a lengthy topic, I will only refer you to someplace else for the ultra basics. If you have a specific question, I'd be happy to answer it.

Also, don't bother with the ultimate compound. Hand polishing an entire car will make your arm fall off and give you arthritis.

Hey pete, why do you use quick detailer after wax? I thought wax was the final stage

Quick detailer is good to use between waxes to keep the shine between them.

At least thats how i use it.

The one i use is a spray on and wipe off made by meguiars.

I'll do a qd wipedown just to make sure all wax residue is removed. My favorite one has been finish kare fk425. It has anti static properties to reduce the Amount of dust that is attracted by the static charge left by buffing off the wax.

I also use it if I get bird s**t. I'll use that to quickly clean it off.

Lol you don't wanna know what I've spent on detailing supplies. Or what I've spent the last month or 2 on cigars...

I have different qd's for different applications. Fir bird bombs I will either use optimum no rinse or ultima waterless wash.

Or what I've spent the last month or 2 on cigars...

I found a book store in town that has a room built into it that is humi controlled.. I bought a few and I probably buy more this weekend.. But I've been dippin more than smoking stogs.. I can say that the NUB ? was the worst money I've ever spent on a cigar..

My best purchase so far has been for 30 por larranaga petit coronas from 2005. Heavenly smokes after 5-6 years on them.

Cohiba is an okay nc. I do have a few cohiba cc's. Some 05 coronas especiales, an 01 lancero, an 07 esplendidos, an 09 robusto, and an 08 maduro secretos. I've only smoked one siglo II and one corona especiales. The cubans are completely different than the Dominican cohiba (at least, I think the one you smoked was Dominican)

Yessir.. Next time I go, I'll grab all the top shelves.. Which will probably be a bit over 100.. They have more mid-range stuff there.. I can't order off the internet because I'm not 21 yet.. UPS checks.. B@ST@RDS!

Yeah I've knew about that, but pete said DQ after wax, not days after wax to keep you going until your next wax so it got me thinking.

That makes sense. I just got a good work out today with that collinite 845. Oh and I shook it for a little while like you said, it became a liquid instead of just thick jello, thanks.

Oh and also, I forgot which you said to put on over which wax, was it carnuba over collinite or collinite over carnuba?

A true carnuba wax would go over the collinite. The collinite is more of a sealant (LSP) then a wax.

Either pektel told me, or I read, that you could do carnuba wax for that nice depth shine, then synthethic wax for that long lasting protection, just didn't remember which went over which.

So it's collonite then carnuba?
