U.S. Fresh Show

I will update this thread anytime I get info positive or not, I am going to contact 3 different venues this week to see which would be best. I really want Good Year

depending on what we charge for entry, which will be totally based on venue cost, LVC members will be discounted if possible free

Nice. I hope you get a good turn out, this sounds like fun.

if there is any way you could help that is hugely appreciated. I know this is a huge undertaking. I want to do this and I know with the right steps it can be done.

I can definitely collaborate with you to get this going....feel free to pm me a number to call you at...

Understand your going to have to come out of pockets to get this going, if you do it as a charitable event, like toys for tots or the wounded warriors program (example: They should offer assistance in getting it up)

Before you call any organization your thinking about collaborating with, pick the date, venue and know of any permits.

Once you get that info it will be easier to get other organizations involved if you have the info.

or

They might be interested in collaborating a show, not sure the places set up, because they have the venue it looks, the space and ability to offer inside events as well as the show itself....again as a charitable car show this would be good pr for them.

Here is a list of businesses that are in the car world in Canton...These might be some good sponsors:

Here s a good link to start to see other venue's

www.cantonrecreation.com

call them they should be able to point you in the right direction for state owned facilities that can be rented..

Try looking into contact in local car clubs as well, a good local turn out will make it successful...

Key to think abut is what kind of show you want, class specific, open to all and whats the show for? charitable events will get you further and demand less of your own assets..

Thanks JVIP,

I contacted Good year, and going to contact the local dealerships as well.

I plan to have a paid entry with classes and peoples choice awards.

I will post up all replys from companies and venues on this thread,

The GoodYear rep I am contacting will be out of office until the 10th

Thank you everyone for help and the support

that is not a detail I have worked on, first I want to get it off the ground and at least hovering before I get that far, If you are interested though subscribe to this or my site and there will be constant updates.I will let you know though on classes. I will work on some of that sort of stuff this week.

If you need any suggestions or help, PM me. I have LOTS of experience with judging, organizing, and holding car shows.

Okay guys so here are the responses I have gotten so far,

Goodyear, the contact, Faith, is out of the office until the 10th

Orielly Auto is going to help, once they have a date.

I am going to contact our local Civil Air Patrol for security and parking. Thier comander is a local sheriff that I know and they do this for other things like this.

Rollin, I will send you a message here today as well as JVIP. I am going to talk to some friends at some local dealerships to see if they would like to come.

I will update you on anything as it comes in, this is looking better every day.

Try to get some vendors to attend. Set-up booths. Performance shops, custom bike shops, car clubs, etc..... You can charge a small fee. See if they would donate any attendance prizes. If they need electricity, the venue can charge a fee too.

Check with local businesses to see if they would like to donate attendance prizes. Tell them they will be "plug spots" annouced during the show for publicity

Definitely check with the car dealers to see if they would be interested in doing a booth.

Another possible line on revenue is t-shirts. One year, our club had t-shirts made with ALL the vendors and sponsors on them. Sold them $15, 2 for $25. Made a killing. At the awards, we started throwing them into the crowd. It was insane.

If your going to use the civil air patrol for security. See if they would like to have their color gaurd there. present the flag and play the National Anthem before the show. That always goes over big. People like the show of respect for our nation

Just a few more ideas for you.

Canvas local car cruises and car shows with your flier. Best way to spread the news. Word of mouth throw gearheads. Buddies tell buddies. Post the flier at local shops and car dealers. Places where gearheads go.

Okay so I recieved bad news from Goodyear, They are unable to have the show on the grounds, They are building 4 new AirShips, but they otherwise would have been interested, I will see if they still would like to co-sponser it at another venue, I amgoing to look into one of the local colleges,

They may go for it beacuse they can have some of their people out there for fall course stuff and they have an Auto- tech class which may have something to do with the show.

haha, still working on this Rell, starting with a smaller show and working my way up to this next year. I am also in contact with cars and coffee and working on that as well as the track day stuff, so I am staying busy

gotta come up with a dif name here in jersey they have meets called fresh meets. the last one was insane another coming up in july
