Many will suggest the al copper 764's. They are a more perf oriented plug that doesn't last all that long compared to a platnium. I had the 764's in for about 10k and they did come out looking ok. This last spring I switched to autolite double plats so I wouldn't have to change them every other year, very nice plug. They're even better when a rebate's available, I think I paid $2.xx per plug vs the reg price of 4.xx. The Coppers are a buck and change iirc.
Last summer the mark was getting 17.8mpg on my normal routes and as soon as I switched them out I started averging 19.1-19.8, currently @ 20.2. I did do boots at the same time due to a failing coil. That had no effect on last summers mpg.
