Epstein sex trafficking survivor speaks out in Long Beach, calling for release of files
A survivor of convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein spoke out in Long Beach on Monday. She and several others are calling for the full release of the case files tied to his crimes.
The push for the Trump administration's Justice Department to release all of the Epstein files moved to Long Beach on Monday, where the ranking member of the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform shared a news conference with a woman who says she was sexually abused as a child by the infamous financier. -snip
Good for her, glad Epstein's victims are speaking out, speaking out against Trump-Vance.
The reason Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson is still doing his best to keep the majority of the Epstein files under a rock is because they implicate Trump and his billionaire friends.

Federal workers unions call on Schumer, Jeffries to hold the line even if it means a shutdowns

A coalition of federal unions are calling on Democratic leadership to fight back against budget cuts to “critical public services,” even if it leads to a government shutdown and mass layoffs. -snip
This is how you fight the Trump-Vance disastrous policies and authoritarianism. So good job on these unions.
As for the federal workers who voted for Trump and now lost their jobs, being unemployed is what you voted for, losers.

Grocery prices are still jumping up
Grocery prices are on the rise – in part due to inflation and tariffs – and relief does not appear to be coming anytime soon.
Food prices at grocery stores rose by 0.6% from July to August, the fastest monthly rate change for groceries since October of 2022, according to the latest consumer price index from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. -snip
