I hit two yards today. I crabbed a rear surround for $20. Plan to paint it Autumn Red to match the LS. Thinking about trading someone my front and rear bumpers for a set of sport bumpers. I am getting tired of the chrome.

First yard is a "you pull" type yard. They had two LSes. First was a 2000 white with tan interior. It was picked through pretty good. Nothing worth getting. The second was a 2001 or 2002 black with light graphite interior. Someone got all the door panels and rocker trim pieces. Only thing left of the frontend was the bumper.

The second yard was an insurance yard. They are pretty cool about letting me walk through their yard. If I see something I want, they let me pull it myself. They had two LSes. First LS was a 2001 or 2002 tan with tan interior. There really wasn't anything left of it. The second was a silver birch 2001 or 2002. Nothing left of it. Doors, trunk, whole front clip, sunroof, rear bumper, taillights, most of the interior. Of course, the pieces I wanted were gone.

ill give you my sport bumpers. They same color only if yours come with the razzi kit, lol i could deal with chrome if it was attached to the nice razzi front lip.

just something to help you decide there is absolutley no damage other than on scratch on the back one from me, stupid bike.

I was planning on removing the Razzi kit. Before I do any kind of swap. I have no preference on color. The whole car is getting painted. Whoever I swap with will not have to do much prep om my bumpers to paint them.

Center vents and mirrors were still in the first two I looked at.

did the center vents have the message center? i'd like the black side mirrors and rear view mirror (not sure if thats still there and in good condition) if your willing to pick them up for me

would you do the trade with the razzi kit and for mine with some cash as weel.

Rollin'.. Why don't you just paint the chrome?

I read that members were having issues doing that. If I am wrong, please tell me. I would rather paint them then swap out both bumpers.

Not sure what kind of condition the side mirrors were in. Not sure if the message center was in either vehicle. I could go back and check for you. If they are in good shape, how much are you willing to pay? I know sometimes that "you pull" yard gets b!tch!ng on the prices. What area do you live in?

yea rollin, paint has a hard time sticking to chrome, if preped right it should hold up fairily well, but while ive been checking on getting my rear surround painted, every shop told me that they wouldn't warranty it.

yea i know some of their prices are horrible, i'd really only like to pay 50-75 for both mirrors and then the center vents, but if the prices are 50-75 for each mirror then i'll take just the driver side mirror and center vents and i'll send you some extra money for picking them up for me

Hey RollinLS, Im doing my first kit myself this wekend. I got 01 LS Midnight Blue, beautiful car. I saw I purchased the same Razzi Kit you have on your LS. Quick question do the rocker panels stay on, or do i take them off when the kit goes on ? Would appreciate some Info , Thanks

The rockers stay on. The side skirts mount over them. You will need some self tapping screws and 3M double side tape. The rear splash gaurds will have to be removed too.

First picture is the LS without the side skirts.
Seond picture is the side skirts just sitting in place.
Third picture is the splash gaurd that needs to be removed.
Fourth picture spalsh guard removed in the rear wheel well.
Fifth picture is the side skirt mounted in the rear wheel well.
Sixth picture is the rocker with the rubber seal pulled out. The red tape is the 3M tape dog earred.
Sventh picture is the side skirt in place. Notice the red tabs. That is the 3M tape dog earred. All you have to do is pull the red tabs. The 3M tape will be exposed. Just press down for the tape to stick to the side skirt. You will need patience and a small flathead screw driver to get the plastic pens to the rubber seal back in place. DONE!!!!

I will check the price first. If they are reasonable, I will remove them and contact you. If you are really lucky, I might be able to hand deliver them to you. I was in Chicago at least 20 times this summer for work.

I will check with my paint guy. Since he will be the one painting the rear surround. I will see what he things about the chrome strips on the bumpers.

I used duplicolor Eching primer on the grille and rear surround. It sticks really good. I just used 3-4 light coats then paint.

I can't tell you if your wrong or right.. I can't remember any threads about people having problems.. As long as you hit it with paper really good, it should stick good..
