transmission problems

well i replaced my air compressor, rear bags and solenoids last month and i was happy to have my mark back on the road. but now im having tranny problems, when i press the accelerator and open her up the rpms shoot up but the speedomiter stays the same so i hade the pan dropped and replaced the filter and gasket. it ran fine for a day or so and now its doing it again...will the tps cause this problem? because i noticed sometimes at a stop light my rpms will fluctuate up and down sometimes...any help would be appreciated..

I think you have two unrelated problems. Every Mark I have owned or driven have had that irratic idle at times. I put it in neutral and hit the gas lightly. It always corrected the problem. How many miles are on the trans? It may be time for a new one.

108,000..yeah i did the same thing and it would go away ...guess i was just hoping i didnt need a new tranny...

I'm not familiar with Texas but you have two amazing Mark VIII resources. Laser SVT can fix anything and GMAN can get anything Mark related.

i still think its iac module. ive got new tranny and it still fluctuates but goes away in neutral too

i dont get this car sometimes i drove home from work earlier and it drove fine...i opened her up at the stoplights and she drove normal, broke the tire loose shifted perfect no lag...i noticed this comes and goes, i dont understand whats happening...wonder if i should flush the transmission and put all new oil ...idk

well woke up and discovered a big puddle of tranny fluid under the car so now its back at the shop...guess ill get the call tomorrowtelling me were its coming from...man this sux.................................
