HAHAHA....someone got their bitch card pulled!!!
Haha. Bitch card. C'mon now buddy.
So I said I don't "beat" on my LS, and I raced it. Big deal. I did race it more than most people on this site simply because most people race theirs "on the way to work" and in other situations similar to that. In all honesty not once did you hear/read my talking about being extra hard on my tranny or doing anything really stupid. It wasn't until I got the XCal and started messing with that that I had any problems with anything. It is possible to race a car on the weekends (for fun, running 15-16 seconds in the 1/4 mile) and not cause any long term damage. I raced my LS for all of maybe 7 months maybe 1-2 weekends a month. I wasn't out doing brake stands, redlining it, doing donuts (very hard on rear-end), downshifting
excessively or
carelessly. With the exception of a few highway races it was all basic mash the gas til 70-80 mph and let go. Nothing too special, for christ sakes, it is an auto, like Fla said.
If you guys were in my car and you heard the way that XCal made my belts squeak like a blowoff valve and the whole car just jolt you would think the same thing. I drove around without the XCal, everything was fine. I havent raced my LS in like 2 months other than trip to the track that included all of 2 runs. I drove around after the track and everything was okay until I gave it wot trying to get onto the highway and that is when it happend, right when that hard shift hit. Who's fault is it, well if my math is correct

would say it is 25% Xcal, 25% regular 91,xxx miles wear and tear and 50% my own fault for thinking I could race the LS.
When all is said in done, did I
expect to
break something racing my car? No. Did I expect to have to pay to play? Yes. Was I willing to take my chances? Yes. Did I have a feeling the day I got the XCal that a malfunction in something was inevitable if I kept using it? The tune didn't really brake my tranny. It just seems that way.
Not saying this device/Torrie's tunes won't work for others. But it just didn't work for me.
