Alright guys... I searched and found out that people DO tow with thier marks...

What I am wondering is what hitch do people use?

Is there one that can be hidden? I wouldn't be towing that much just a quad and or a bike... I just don't want a truck but I also don't want a nasty hitch or receiver sitting back there all the time!

Whats my options?

I've towed a little more than the recommended weight with my Mark.. I have whatever class 2 hitch Uhaul offers, if you go that route pay for them to install it... It's not too noticeable, I can get a pic when it's daylight tomorrow if you want.

I've done towing with mine. In fact, I even use it to launch my boat.

The hitch installation isn't a big deal, but apparently the wiring is a bit more of a challenge, I opted to pay to have the wiring done.

Without the ball on, it wasn't noticeable. I've taken to leaving the hitch on, I got sick of blue-hairs bumping my car in parking lots. Now- they hit the hitch.
Screw them.

Mine had a hitch, but I would never tow with mine. So I pulled it off, you could prolly pick it up off me for a couple bucks. It just needs a good coat of paint.

Funny, for me it was the exact opposite, I messed with the hitch for several hours because the design of the installation hardware and manufacturing tolerances of the hitch itself was low quality. The wiring kit used the little connectors that just slip over the stock wire and splice in, I had that done in 10 minutes and was easy to hide under the carpet when not in use.

Thanks guys!!!

Pics would be great... How much did the reciever and all that weigh?

All I remember was I really wanted to not drop it on my face during the install.. If I had to guess 25 or so lbs for the receiver. I dunno. I'll get a pic tomorrow.

25lbs for the receiver?

My bumper hitch alone on my diesel weighs more than 25lbs.

Hey it's only a class 2 hitch. Might be more than 25 might be less, but this is no Duramax 1 ton you know.

Anyway please excuse all the dirt on my car, just got back from a drive where the road was all wet, it'll get washed later tonight.

I was told that do to the sensitive electronics on the car, that it was necessary to use a special relay off the fuse box, or something, as to not fry the electrical system. It might have been a load of crap, but I didn't want to chance it.

Then again, when I had driving lights behind the grill, I spliced those right off the head lights and never had a problem.

Ive wondered about that before also. Im sure the air-ride would work pretty well for compensating for the extra load. Unfortunately I have the spring conversion, I doubt it would tow very well.
