so Torrie quoted me 10-20 HP gain and the SCT Xcal3 +tune for 379 w/ shipping. That seem legit to you guys as far as everything? I've only heard talk for the past year or so on ILLS' tunes so I didn't know what the comparison would be.....I just wanna hit the low 14s when I hit the track in july

The only other option you have if you would like to save some money would be to find an Xcal unit on your own. The tune from Torrie will be 150 without the unit.

You never know what your getting with a used SCT device may not save any money, and just buy you frustration in the long run.

I completely agree. Finding an honest seller who is selling an unmarried device is essential in trying to save. It's still worth throwing out the idea though in the event he is able to find anything.

lolz i love my sig, wahahahaha

just thought i'd ask you guys cause I didn't know if the 375 was reasonable or not. though I know Torrie is legit...just didn't know if I could get more power or better deal out there :P

petes are your rims pretty lightweight? so when he sends you the Xcal3 are you going to be able to upload the tune yourself?

they are heavy which is why my stock 16s are in my room and I'll be switching them shortly...I LOVED how my LS just lifted up when I floored it...now for an extra 10-20hp :-D

IDK about ILLS but from what everyone who used Torrie said that he was easy to deal with and the tune was great. He answered all of their questions..

The price is pretty good. Go to SCT's site and see how much the tuner is there..

Yeah, the 16s and tune are gonna make your car flip over from all the power.

just didn't know if I could get more power

oh im sure that you could make the tune "hotter" and squeeze out more power, but im pretty sure that it probably wouldn't last too long

canned tunes need to have a little buffer between you and the edge.
there safe for a reason

more power is always nice, but the trans tunning is where its at, thats what really makes it "feel" faster

Torrie was one of the first to do the tuning for the LS. And the price is spot on.

I don't think you can beat his price actually. My xCal3 was 379.00 off the shelf at a speed shop in Texas. I was dumb and didn't do research before buying mine and I have no special tune with it. I am either going to go with Torrie or check out this guy in Rogers, MN.. not sure if it would be easier to just go with Torrie since he has the experiece with the LS or not. The other guy in Rogers would be able to Dyno tune it though.

Go Dyno. As long as he knows how to do performance tunes on cars, he should be able to get you a good tune for the ls since it will be at his shop
