jbird, you beat me to it, I was going to ask the same thing.

And blenderhead, the Bonneville Mark ran 181 but it ran in third with a 2.97 rear end (not 100% on that ratio, but I do know it was swapped to airplane gears).

I thought it was a 2.41 rear. I know it was done in third, but that is just a matter of the OD band probably not being strong enough to push 180mph.

It was a 2.47 gear. The reason they wanted to run in third was because thats our 1:1 ratio and more power will make it to the wheels in 1:1 ratios
