Hello I'm new pretty good with working on cars what I have is the guide to disassemble the intake manifold and gasket installation what I need to know is the tools needed to do the job

It might help if you told us if you have the V8, or the V6? Which gasket(s) are you needing to replace?

It's a v8 and the intake manifold gasket replacing the thermostat housing so why not if it has to come out and will be replacing the pvc valve s as well

Granted this may be out of your price range or cost expentance at the moment, but if I were you I'd replace all of your cooling plastics while doing this Intake Mani gasket job. I can almost guarantee you that one or all of those plastics connecting to the thermostat assembly will crack or break upon disassembly.

This is completely up to you, but even if you successfully install a new thermostat and housing, the joint plastics that are attached will be heat/stress cracking soon enough (I'm assuming these are still factory originals).

I more or less advise this because it's one less time you'll be pulling your intake manifold off. And they warp/crack easy.

Whether you replace all your cooing plastics or not, be sure to torque your manifold down in the recommended sequence or you'll be paying a good $1000+ for a new one. I'm sure you could find a used one in the few to several hundred range, but regardless.

Best of luck and God bless.

(also you have a 1st gen, look into Jag s type metal housing replacements)

This I really want to see, since it has not PCV valve.

You just need a good metric socket set, some extensions, and a torque wrench.

A magnetic pickup tool would be good to have around too.

Thanks took your advice and replaced it all suck but I can drive to the super bowl party lol
