took a road trip

US 129 is a state route from Knoxville over to NC. The last 11 miles on the TN side is the section of highway referred to as The Dragon.

Going back to NC before heading back to your own home? If not, map I-64 East to I-79 North to I-68 East back to MD and stop by on your way back.

I'm up for a meet in WV or TN on some back roads. That sounds fun!

Drove from Kingwood, WV to Reston, WV about a year ago in my LS on a road trip. The drive was so much fun going over US50 and has such a nice view that I turned around and did it again. Found a cop when I came sliding around a turn at the bottom of one of the mountains. Got to play the whole tourist routine: I'm from Florida, we don't have mountains there! I didn't know I was going so fast!... I just left out the part where I had been doing that for the past 2 hours. LOL :)

Marc,, You are definitely the tour guide

When it comes to the mountains and backroads, I live for driving in them. Little known secret, there is a new stretch of higher called The Snake that is rapidly on the come up. It is just across the WV border into VA and to TN. It is 3.5 hours from me. I love my car but I LOVE to ride the bike and be on backroads. KY Rt. 32 is about an hour from me and it is a freaking blast to drive/ride as well. And one more......Rt.93 from Ironton to Jackson Ohio, which Motor Trend called a must drive, is 10 minutes from me.

I believe this is one of the YouTube clips.

I'm not sure if I should change my brakes before going for the just in case theroy or wait till I get home and install new rotors, They are liable to get hot on some of those roads!

Marc, Your in Ironton OH.?

Southern most tip of Ohio. Huntington WV, home of Marshall University, is 25 miles east of me. I live 300 yards north of the Ohio River. Can see Kentucky from my front yard.

Just say the word when it is good for you and I am all in for some spirited driving. Afterall, these cars are ideal for such driving.

I see LSE'S everywhere here in FL, unfortunately they are all senior citizens driving them most of the time, or you see an LS driving around on 22's

I say we get a few people involved. Be awesome if Bullschmidt could make it. Would love to see how those coil-overs respond. In a month or so I plan to answer that question myself though :)

i drove from anchorage AK to green bay WI and only saw one LS the whole 3,000 miles. i thought that was quite odd.

2002, 2000LS, and Bull(if interested) are about 5 1/2 from The Snake. Also know some roads in the New River Gorge area. Actually, Bridge Day is coming up in early October. That is where they close the New River Bridge andet people base jump off of it for most of the day. Fun as hell to watch and the leaves should be pretty much in color by that point.
