so I'm looking at getting some new tires before to long. What are some good tires out there for not a lot of money. I was thinking the $400 range. and would chain tire places take a fairly unused set of snow tire in exchange?

Get round ones that hold air...

Most chain places around here actually charge a disposal fee, regardless of the life left on your old tires

sell them on cl.

I replied to this thread earlier I swear.:confused::confused: Some intrepids and gm products such as the Grand prix and Grand am. It is a 225/60/16 right. It is a very common tire size.

I work at a tire shop that sells used tires, and we buy them constantly. We only give 5 a tire. And we have so many 2256016's that we aren't buying them for a while.

And honestly if you buy tires for something decent you will pay around 120-135 a tire. Mounted, balanced, out the door. Check into Uniroyal Tiger paws. For the money their pretty much it. Usually a 70,000 mile tire. It ain't no Michelin, but it isn't a no name tire.

And remember walmart has their own line of tires made by the big names. But they are not the same.
