Time for some upgrading

Exactly. The LS ain't fast. We'll see after my next mod though. It's really going to wake up the LS.

unless it screams and makes boost, it ain't waking up jack bower with a gun under his pillow

I hope it doesn't scream. That would mean I've done something wrong.

Probably not gonna boost the LS. well, maybe once it's only a spare car.

Tons of common sense!!!!! Mods are expensive!!!!! fixing is expensive!!!!

Oh no! If only you'd warned me sooner!

Gotta pay to play. fixing is only expensive if you can't turn your own wrenches.

MTV: My Time is Valuable, if I'm working on my own car, that is money I'm losing because I'm not working on a paying job, not to mention, have you seen the prices for parts for this thing, the only time you get a good deal is when you know some guys that knows some guys that robbed some guys.

I agree that parts for my 85 chev are way cheaper than the parts for the LS.

But compare a job of say, replacing VCG's. The shop charges what, like $700 (just guessing, don't know actual cost)? That's a job one can do on a half of a lazy Saturday, while kicking back a few brews. Know what I mean? And it's under $200 in parts. Call over a couple buddies, hang out in the garage, good times.

So I was really only comparing the same job.

replacing VCG's + kicking back a few brews:D

yeah, my rear wheel bearing cost me 130$ and 4 hours...lazy hours, Dobbs wanted 448$ to do it.

anything aftermarket you will have to get a different plate from sonic electronics.

check the for sale section, if nycls8 hasn't sold it yet, he has a bad as$ setup for cheap.

yeah, thats the right kit for an aftermarket radio, not factory nav

I guess I am the old dude at 47. Bought my LS Sport in aug for 5 Grand with 76K miles. I added Slotted Rotors, Filter with home made cold-Ram air. SCT X3 tuned for 93 oct, tune done by Torrie in FL. Cat back system with Flowmasters. Second dyno run last week was 238 RWHP. I also went to High School with my Girl Friends Mom.

fordfan, for someone that preaches common sense, you sure are lacking in the department.

keep your fantasies to yourself. i mean, i got no problem with your kind, but you may want to keep your sexual preference off a public forum..

here's some common sense for you:

2 halves can't make a whole without a hole.

oh ok i have looked at NYC set-up but im looking at a 7inch screen plus i can get it for 400 dollars brand new.

Way to contribute to a thread.

There are several inexpensive appearance mods for the LS. Figure out your budget and what you want to do to your LS. Start with the simple mods and work from there. Many of us have been modding our LSes for years. It take time to get it where you want it to be.
