Thunderbird Cross brace for LS

Quick, what do u think I should look for? Same size, with the left side hose on the lower part and the right one on the upper part? is that all? or we have any other stuff attached to it?

you'll need the same heigth and length but more thickness. You will want the upper hose to enter on the passenger side, lower hose to exit on the driver's side - only to keep the hoses simple. If you have a Gen1 - you have to be careful - if you plan to keep the hydralic fan, there is not much clearance in between the front of the engine, back of the fan, and the hose going in between.

You have to leave yourself enough room to be able to get a breaker bar in the idler pulley to release the pressure off the belt.

one thought - instead of replacing the stock rad....

you may look at adding an additional rad - just hook them up in series. Mount it where I have my intercooler - there is lots of room under the bumper in the lower grill area.

ok, so first option would be to get that replacement, and second option to just add a 2nd rad. Mm, didnt think about that. It does sound good. However, the idea of fitting in a full aluminum rad came from mine being cracked, I have no heating problems at all, so I'll go for option 1.

I do have a 1st Gen. Should I think of converting to an electrical fan or its not needed?

I wanna do it the simplest possible way, find a rad as close to stock size as possible, and just work on the brackets. I think Ive seen adapters n mounting stuff on jegs.com

I think the size ought be 18x23 if Im not mistaken.

not to answer for IrishV8LS - but from my own personal experience - hemi joints are much harsher - but we use them on race cars since they are easy to adjust and can be rebuilt in pieces.

You likely will not notice it much using them on the links - either way.

Do they get noisy with time? How do I keep em running good?

Pursuing unanswered questions from back when this thread was new.

Never having had either front or rear sway bars in hand, so asking questions of those of you who have.
1. The front bar, from illustrations, has a 'kick' in the middle. From the illustrations, there seems to be no clear reason for this. Is there anything anyone has seen, as installed, that necessitates this 'kick'?
2. The rear, again from illustrations, seems to be straight in the middle area. From your observations, is this correct?

Any light that anyone can shed on these suppositions would be much appreciated.

Reason for the questions is the possibility of substituting three piece race bars. Such things are readily available in a wide variety of configurations. But the center sections, the parts that actually flex, are straight. If straight pieces can be, somehow, substituted, this can be made to work. Thanks in advance for any input.
