Throttle Body Cleaning

from the intake manifold on the gen one, if i were to remove the TB to clean it would i have any coolant lines i have to unhook? i see to the right of the TB there is a sensor i could remove to clean but im talking the whole TB, like undo the cables, thanks

V6 or V8?
I just took my V6 TB off and there is nothing other then the throttle cable.

yes - there is a coolant line to keep the TB from icing up.

You should be able to 'pinch' of the line on each side, remove them - with just a 'little' spill of coolant. Otherwise, you'll have to drain down the rad to lower the coolant level - it's why the instructions fo removing the intake manifold has coolant drain in the initial steps.

I blocked off the feed nipples and removed the lines as my oversized TB does not have the coolant line attachments.

thanks quik, i found out the hard way about the coolant line in the TB on a honda lol

but do you think since im going to open the coolant system, i should bleed it to make sure i didnt get any air bubbles, i didnt on the honda, but i know how important the cooling system is on the LS
