ugh, I'm tired of 1)people thinking the car is FWD and 2) being mine is a 94 (no LSCs in 94) they think being its not an LSC its slow or a v6, I'd like to get a gen 1 LSC badge to throw on there just to shut them up

Actually, I'd like people to think my car is a FWD V6.

I've been confused with a Mercury Sable on three occasions now! Lol.

being that several of my other cars are cads it nice to know if my trans does need to be replaced they are interchangeable.....I am sure all of the 94 FWD mark viii with the dual cam are identical right?

Instead of an LSC badge I want one that says markdorado.

Sorry, I love my cad's as cruisers; and they will hustle when pushed, but I cant wait to get the Mark on the road...same amount of power in an rwd is just plain fun

15 disk changer??? probably doesn't work properly when those 3 extra disks try to load.....

It is freakin' true Damien!! All you hear about Joisey aholes is totally TRUE!!! LMAO! Oh your chip will be in this week.

I don't think Northstars make 20 more horsepower than a Mark VIII motor... what do they dyno? The only advantage they have is the stock 3.73 gearing.

They're factory ratings, so they don't mean too much, but my Mark VIII is rated at 280, my ETC is rated at 300. IIRC from my time on cadillacowners I would usually see L37 (the 300hp N*) dyno around 235whp - the 4T80e is said to lose about 24%, so that's pretty close. They do have 3.71 gearing and a bit more aggressive first (2.96 vs 2.84,) but they also shift at 6500, and the stall 'seems' even lower (maybe ~300-400rpm) than that of the 4R70w... As for stock vs stock acceleration, the ETC does have an advantage - but if I only cared about stock I wouldn't own a Mark VIII...

Man, i had a guy in college that was crazy about his Aurora. He was always bashing the Mark Viii's and saying " they just copied the Northstar with your NaviStar engine"... I just couldnt convince him that it wasnt a NaviStar... his car was DOOOOOOGGGG slow though..

The ETC Mark VIII debate ends when the Mark VIII owner does a few mods and the Cadi owner is left with none....

Kustom...that was exactly where I ended up....although my seville is a 4.9 car, it has been seriously warmed over, and will walk a northstar fairly easily....Now that I want real power there is a Mark in the driveway...I cant wait till I get that done, there are so many more options before you get into truly custom stuff.
