Hey guys,

I can't seem to find the thread, bit I remember one where the guy had used a scotch-brite pad or something on his chrome. I'm wondering how its stood up to the elements over time. I think the 95 would look a lot cleaner if I were to do something like it.

Any thoughts?

Yes my black wheels are going the way of the caveman this x-mas for polished aluminum new units.

are you trying to bring the chrome back to life or do you want to paint over it, to bring chrome back 0000 steel wool is the bomb has to be 0000 anything less will scratch it. if you want to paint over the chrome i would us 00 steel wool and etching primer, then whatever color you want. make sure its etching primer it bites into the chrome so paint will stick to it.

Thanks Jamie.

I'm actually looking at "scuffing" the trim to make it look more satin. I've seen one car here like that and it came out looking nice.

Ill find it eventually.

Thanks again.
