The LS - what's been done, what's next

Couple questions. When did you join the Volvo wheel family?

Are those 19's or 18's

And what size are those tires. Look like rubber bands.

19", 235/35/19. Yes small tires. They came with the wheels.. for the price I'll use them for now until I need to replace them. Just got them today.

Looks like what should have been on the LS from the beginning! VERY NICE!!!!

Great job on the wheels you probably got a really good deal. They look like the replicas I bought.

your tyres look 'tarded. tough to imagine that they could supplant the fender vents... but they do.

Looks good. Definitely needs a drop. Get rid of those side vents and she will be very clean. I would be careful with that 235 tire. Curb rashes are waiting on you at the corner.

Thank you.. Gonna get rid of the vents and start piecing together the correct parts for a drop and find someone to do the work.

Got 18" Jaguar XF wheels today for the winter.

This weekend I got the car re-tinted. Previously it was 50%, now its 5% all around.

depending on where you live that will get you pulled over real quick. Down here in Tx, 35/15 is as dark as you can go, and they enforce it regularly.

Up here it's not too bad... I've had it on a prior car for about 5 years maybe got pulled over 1-2x's for it. You have to be doing something really obnoxious to get pulled over and issued the ticket (like racing through a parking lot, blasting ur music... etc.) It's only a $35 ticket if I remember correctly.

$35? Good old times lol its $54 now (plus $2 convenience fee if you pay online) ask me how I know...

EDIT: and post some pictures man! quit being stingy lol

Got my hands on a McLaren grill... had to do some work to it to restore it... here's what it looks like so far after cleaning and apoxying:

Installed my Mclaren grille. Left it color matched in the center but thinking about blacking it out with some dip to see how it looks... heres a quick before/after:

definitely black it out. As is, it looks like something fell off a backing plate. Perhaps if the filled in holes were blacked out, and the ring were blacked out it would look better. Either that or black out the center section, but leave the ring and the bit down the middle where the Lincoln sign is as body colored.

Thanks guys!

The filled in holes look that way because behind them are the tabs to insert the grille. I thought the same at first - that it looked bad but they serve a purpose. I am going to black it out with plasti-dip so that if I don't like it I can peel it off.

Thought: take a black Sharpie perma marker and color fill the tab holes black ???

----EDIT: NVM, it was mentioned above, missed it.
