I was driving my car with my 11 year old son.I hit her going 50mph never had a chance to hit the brakes.Im still in mourning for the car,my son and I were fine the passsenger in the granprix took a county ride to the hospital.It was a sad day.MY AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY!!!!!

Damn, man, that sucks. Glad you and the boy walked away--it could have been much worse!

Same sh*t happened to me.


Me and my wife a few years back were going down a busy road, speed limit 45. Traffic in the other direction was bumper to bumper. Some dumb ass little girl on a cell phone coming from a Hillary Duff concert thought she could cut across from a side street. My wife was driving the car and after we hit the only thing that stopped us was the stoop to somebodies porch after we pushed the b*tch into it. Hit her 45-50 mph and when we stopped I looked down and my wife's foot was still on the gas. Had no time at all to hit the brake.

We just got out of work and picked up a family pack of KFC. I was putting it on the floor cause it was getting hot so I had the belt off for that split second and smashed my face on the windshield pushing the entire thing out of the frame. No airbags went off but all I had was a concussion and mash potatoes all over me.

Ass hole parents came and got her off the hook. In the end she blamed it on traffic and we got dicked seeing on how the cop didnt want to hear our side when he came to write a report. Turned out her car was brand new and in her moms name. Ironically it was registered to the same name on the insurance companies letter from the girls agent telling us they arent paying us for a thing:rolleyes: .
 
That five star crash rating came in handy there. Buy a '06 !
 
Really sorry to hear about your car but most important thing is that you and your boy are ok. Cars can be replaced. Any thought to a newer Ls or what kinda ride you might go with?

Thats what I thought. I thought he meant his 17 year old daughter took his car and crashed. Sorrry to hear about your ls. Glad no one got hurt. Just when you were about to trade your rims for stockers.

:eek: :eek: :eek: Ouch. Freaken KFC. if it wasn't for that bucket your belt wouldv't been on. Man that must have hurt. Freaken air bags. I might have to check and see if mine are working.

damn to bad you didnt win lsotm, haha did you have that yellow air bag light blinking before the accident? if you did that could be why the bags didnt deploy, glad your ok!

No light had a new clockspring installed about 6 months ago.its a mystery to me.

Yeah, all in the end I could look back and laugh. The guy who's porch we hit was a EMT and Irish so I heard about it the entire time I was there. Then the guy found out I only lived like 5 blocks away and checked up on me a few days later, still cracking jokes.

When I got out of the car I was yelling the usual " look at my car, my cars totaled " and of course the dumb b*tch was already on the phone so she told whom ever it was she was talking to that I was yelling at her.
 
Oh man, that sucks. Glad you are OK. I wonder why the airbags didn't deploy? Did you buy it used--maybe they went off before in a previous wreck and were not replaced?

But thanks for posting pictures so we can do some virtual rubbernecking :D
