You just reset it....

I just reset it at the beginning of the 50 miles..yes.

Of course that number will drop significantly as I drive the car more.

BUT.. that just shows, going down the hiway driven conservatively..30 mpg isn't unobtainable.

With that said..

If I go much faster than 65-67ish..the mpg drops like a stone by about 5MPG
But that's still 24-26ish at 70+MPH

it aint "Prius" numbers, but then again.. it aint no damned prius either.

couple of times ive managed to keep the 'instant mpg' display showing 30-33mpg in the middle of summer..........@ 60mph, with cruise on.............and it was around 110 outside :(

and my average after settling down is always 18.6-18.8mpg......

of course winter comes around and those readings take a crap

well I took that pic today.. and yes.
my agressive normal driving will drop that number into the high teens, then me sitting in the car having "lunch".. or other such activities drop my overall mileagle into the mid to low teens.
Sitting, running at zero miles per hour dont help the Mpg figures for sure.

I can get about 32 in my "eco" program. 26 with evil E85.

Now that my chip is out, who knows what I will get....

Ive gotten 30 when my car had just exhaust and intake over the course of a 60 miles highway trip at 75mph not using cruise... Things are much different now:mad:

im usually 20~ish. there was one day i reset it at work and drove home (42 miles and 8 stop signs) and got the average to stay around 30. but this involved not going over 55, and not revving past 2k. so it can be done but it wasnt fun :D

I drive 27 miles each way to work, 80 percent highway. Over the last month, with tons of snow, and -30 temps I have kept the avg. at between 19.8 and 20. I find the best instant mileage between 60 to 65 (30mpg instant), and that is still romping on it sometimes, lots of spinning in the snow (I hate traction control)

i used to get 26 ish on the highway as long as i wasnt doing 120mph..

i love going real fast and just letting off the throttle and watching the "instant mpg" skyrocket into the 90's... then i sigh and think "i wish"

Best I ever did was when I went to AC to look at a T-Type. Filled up down there and drove the Parkway back staying at a fairly constant 70mph. Got 415 miles out of the tank of gas :D

I have never been able to come close to that again :(

I was going over 55, 99% of the trip was 65-72 the last 10 miles were on city surface streets.
at hiway speed I was running just below 2K.

This was on my performance program, not an economy tune.

If I keep it under 65 or so I can get 24-25mpg with 4.10. Even at a steady 80mph I can get over 20. It's hard since there is always some kind of traffic so it's hard to keep a steady speed and my right foot has a mind of it's own.

Routinely get a tiring 75 MPG w/ my 94. It's got quite the tuneup. Yep. Downhill 75 MPG. The tiring part is the pushing it back up the hill. :D

ok, 10 miles of surface streets vs all 42 miles of "surface" streets (all farm roads here) is a little different
