so i am going to start my engine swap on my black 95 today. i have a lift in a shop and all the tools i need. plus everything for about 10 safety meetings. i am going to be doing this by my self and have 10 days max.

i have decided to sell the black 95, so i am going to steal all the performance parts and put them on my 93. this includes headers, cai, pulleys, adjustable fpr, oversize maf, chip, i may even steal the seats as they have the lincoln logo embroidered in them. so not only am i doing a second gen motor in a first gen swap. i am also doing a performance build on my 93.

things to do today
the 2nd gen white car has no steering column nor brakes so just getting it in the shop is task one. (by my self)
pull the motor and trans out of the 2nd gen.

i forgot my cord to my phone so i will post pics tonight and maybe video of the driveway from hell.
 
I'm guessing you're using the Gen1 intake/throttle body?

yes sir. the cobra intake is going to go in my closet until i get a supercharger and the cop set up may go on the 93 if i get time.

looks like i am going to have to phone a friend and offer a safety meeting just to get the damn thing in the shop
 
Got a riding mower and a rope? Once you get it in the bay where you're dropping the block, you can lift the front in the center of the engine cradle with a jack and maneuver it around some. I've had to move cars around by myself in that condition before, it's not the most fun or easy thing, but do-able...

that black mark looks cleann.

it will be for sale with a 65k mi motor in it.

Yeah it's just a bump stop,
But those sway links are shot too

Is that the Black car or the donor?

You don't need to take all that apart, only suspension that needs to come loose is the UCA from the knuckle, and take the 3 nuts off the top of the struts, brace the motor, remove the cradle bolts, and down she comes

i am doing it for space, and just in case someone needs something off, i am pulling as much as possible. the moment i am done with this shell it is going to the jyard
 
day 2

i am going to be spending a lot of time pulling parts for people today. i have everything loose to pull the motor but the carrier bolts and trans cross member bolts.

the engine brace will not work on this car because the fender is to fubared. so i am going to drop it on jack stands. wish me luck.
 
I made my engine brace, just a piece of 2 1/2" square tube 10 gauge, long enough to just fit between the fenders, took 1 chain 4' long rated for 1000lbs 4 bolts,nuts, washers. Total cost was about $15. Cut the chain in half and double wrapped the (now 2 chains) around the tube and double bolted it, then secure the tails to the lower alternator bolt holes

Set the tube on a couple blocks of wood to give clearance over the fuse block
