So I will be home in Jersey all week for Turkey day break, and I want to work on my LS a bit, but im not sure what. Im already planning on mounting the Blizzacks i bought a couple of weeks ago on my stock 17's and putting them on the car.

Can anyone suggest any cheap mods ($50-$150)? or anything at all? interior detailing tips perhaps, Pektel?

I know there are some college LS owners on here what are you guys doing?

Some ideas:
  • Finally get rid of my trunk spoiler and buy one of those ebay ones like Silver_LS
  • LED conversion
  • FINALLY get my Mclaren grille color matched

I am in college but only have wednsday thru friday off. And I still have to work :(.

Anyways your list seems doable. Paint the grille and blzck out the loweer grill. That is a good timeley project.

Mach 1 lip spoiler. Can buy them for under $100. Paint the lower grille black. Cost you under $150 for both mods.:)

do the led conversion or tint your windshield lol =] we should meet up one day and take some pics i just gotta wash the ls first i havent had much time with work and all =[

I will be getting my winter setup on, if I can even count that as a mod.

I will probably buy some good wheel sealant to keep off the brake dust:

And some interior detailer:

Both are great products.

Agreed. Both are great products. I prefer to use Rejex on wheels (super durable, and can be found at your local True Value.). I also use Duragloss 105 (avaiable at your local carquest) or, the easiest of them all, Optimum Optiseal. You spray it on a foam applicator, apply to the wheel, and walk away. Done. I really like it for wheel because sometimes buffing off the residue gets to be a pain.

For interior vinyl/plastics I use Einszett Cockpit premium. I prefer the matte finish. The 303 does not have a high gloss sheen, but it does change the color/sheen slightly. I just like the showroom new look. Just personal preference, both are great options.

Optimum Optiseal:

On interior leather surfaces, I actually prefer Lexol cleaner or a gentle APC (My personal favorite is Optimum Power Clean), then Leather Masters Vital, followed by Leather Masters Protect.

LExol can be found locally at OReilly's.

Leather Masters can be found at www.detailersdomain.com

My winter wheels went on yesterday. Not to happy about it either. The thugness of the car goes up ten-fold, then gets annoying after a couple hours :(

As for my break, I will spend it doing sh!t for classes anyways. Not to much of a break. Grad school is way overrated

well i only really have off wednesday and thrusday and go back to work friday-sunday and school monday, so.... maybe do the lse conversion? if i can find time, but its really pissing me off that its just sitting around, but yea do the grille

yea i got school monday and working 3.30am to 5pm friday, saturday and sunday i work so no time to do any mods. can't wait to be done with university

Im just waiting for the new set of led's to come in so i can set the other ones back. And i need to get the 4" tips welded on.

Ive had them for two weeks now just been a bit lazy and busy with work.

Well today i cleaned the house, went to my families for Thanksgiving.... Oh almost forgot made my center console thing for my water temp and volt gauge, as well as a bracket to hold my trusty blackberry dumb-phone.

Next on the weekend to-do list is replace my busted fog lens (:q:q:q:qing semis and their rocks) and find a center cap for my wheel.

its not finished in this pic, I'll have a finished pic tomorrow.... its dark and raining so...

Nice. I was thinking of putting some in their too instead of in the a-pillar, but using the next smaller gauges so the the cover could close over them.
