I wouldn't do it and I'm not really sure it would even plug in to the circuit board in the 98 trans. Seems like one or more solenoids have voltage differences from 93-97 to 98's
Yea I put them side by side and compared them. They are different for sure but me being me I went on and modified it and installed it anyway. I took a pair of needle nose pliers n trimmed the plastic piece down enough so that it would look similar to the 98 tcc solenoid....... I am in the process of getting another 98 trans with low miles.
My current problem with my trans is when I get to around 40 mph it slips but if I turn off the overdrive it will pull thru pass 40 mph. my code was something like p1740 tcc solenoid
